Abraham John Miller

Abraham J. Miller passed away suddenly November 12, 2017 at his home in Thermopolis.

Abe was born November 1, 1934 in Wakeeney, Kansas, the son of Joseph and Edith (Maynard) Miller.  Growing up in Midwest, WY he graduated from Natrona County High School in 1953.  He served in the Korean War as a Corporal in the US Marine Corps.

On July 13, 1957 he married Patricia Bell and they made their home in Seminoe, Alcova and Thermopolis, WY where Abe retired from the Bureau of Reclamation in 1990.  Pat and Abe celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this summer with family and enjoying their mountain home at Atlantic City, WY.

An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed snowmobiling, four wheeling, riding his motorcycle, spending winters in Arizona and gatherings with his many friends.  Abe especially enjoyed his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Abe  lived a long healthy life and enjoyed it to the fullest.

Abraham is survived by his wife, Patricia; daughters, Darla (Rick) Keever of Shoshoni, and Cathy (Rod) Lincoln of Riverton; brother, Sidney (Colette) Miller of Riverton; five grandchildren, Jacob (Sara) Keever, Justin (Angela) Lincoln, Travis Lincoln and fiancé,  Ashley Harding, Heather (Branden) Wagner and Karissa (Tom) Koehler; and nine great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents and two sisters, Ruby Fuchs and Joann Clark.

The family would like to invite friends to a celebration of Abe’s life at the Thermopolis VFW, Saturday, November 18, 1:00 PM.  Please bring pictures, memories and stories.
