Alice Marie (Williams) Stump

Alice Stump was born in Rulo, Nebraska in 1931 to John Edward Williams and Zelma Blanche Williams. Siblings were Jeri, Richard, and John.  She spent her early life in Falls City, Nebraska, attended Falls City High School where she met Charlie the milkman. After further business training and a position in Omaha, she married Charles Stump on Aug 6, 1950. They moved to several oil field hot spots and finally Wyoming where they raised their family in Thermopolis. She had three children, five grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and three great greatgrandchildren.  Her husband Charles of 57 years passed in 2007. Alice was a member of the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church.

With family business partners Charles and Charles Jr, Alice helped to build R&S Well Service of Thermopolis Wyoming. The business was successful and provided incomes for many local people for many years. 

Alice was an avid golfer, played often for pleasure and competition, including Thermopolis leagues and several Pro-Am events in Arizona.  Alice was a chaperone for the Thermopolis Wildcat band for many years, and loved her band kids. She enjoyed crocheting, bridge, skiing, snowmobiling, was an avid book reader, fantastic cook, and worked a crossword puzzle every day.  

Survivors include her son Charles Jr and daughters Cynthia and Christina, grandchildren Damon, Beau, Micaela, Joshua, and Alycia, great grandchildren Jaena, Ella, Quinlyn, Remy, and Kyle, and great great grandchildren Sophia, Braxton, and Ryker.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Mortimore Funeral Home on January 3, 2019 at 2pm.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the HSCSD-Stump Family Scholarship, 415 Springview St, Thermopolis, WY 82443.
