Longtime resident, Beverly Mentch, 91, passed away Sunday, July 28, 2019 at Hot Springs County Memorial Hospital in Thermopolis. She was presently residing at the Wyoming Pioneer Home.
Born February 25, 1928 in Casper, Wyoming, she was the daughter of Arthur “Bill’ and Ruby (McQueen) Buckle.
In 1946, she married Delmer H. Mentch in Thermopolis. The couple was employed by Grant’s Grocery for 20 years. They then owned and operated the Icebox Grocery and in 1976, Daylight Donut for 18 years, selling the business in 1982.
Beverly was a member of the Risen Son Southern Baptist Church. She enjoyed Bingo and being a Foster Grandparent for 17 years.
Survivors include her daughters, Carol (Allen) Mills of Green Valley, AZ and Amy Mentch of Thermopolis; grandchildren Crystal Forgey, Angela English, Tonya Severence and Nels Mills; and six great grandchildren. Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, son, Darrel, husband, Delmer, and daughter, Sheryl English.
Graveside services will be held Friday, August 2, 11:00 am at Monument Hill Cemetery with Pastor Brian Johnson officiating. A celebration of life reception will follow at the Risen Son Church.
