Lifetime resident, Charlotte Mae Gourley, 87, passed away Friday, October 12, 2018 at the Thermopolis Rehabilitation and Care Center.
Born June 4, 1931 in Thermopolis, Wyoming, she was the daughter of Paul and Margarett (Shafer) Einer.
On May 14, 1949, she married Jack Gourley in Thermopolis. Three children were born to this union. Not only a mother and housewife, she was employed as Deputy Clerk in the County Clerk’s Office for 18 years.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Eastern Star, Hospital Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary and the Christmas Club. An excellent pie baker, she enjoyed crocheting and loved flowers.
Those cherishing her memory are her children, Donald and Nels, both of Thermopolis, and Marynel (Jim) Malcom of Salmon, ID; granddaughters, Charlynn, Tiffany and Jessica and great grandsons, Lincoln and Kennedy. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jack (2010), and brother, John.
Memorial services will be held sometime in May with burial to follow at Monument Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital, 1275 E. Fairfax Rd., Salt Lake City, UT 84103.
