Christopher Hamlin, 37 years old of Thermopolis passed away on Friday, July 5th at his home.
Chris was born August 14th, 1981 in Rawlins, Wyoming to Mike and Geneva Hamlin (Kobielusz). Mike introduced Chris to the outdoors very early in life taking him on hunting and fishing trips as an infant. Unfortunately, Mike’s life was cut short and died when Chris was two years old. Geneva remarried in 1986 to Jim Kobielusz and he became Chris’s father and most important male role model. Jim passed away from cancer in 1997 and Chris began to struggle with life and love. He struggled for several years until he met Amber. They began a life together and had a daughter Alexis. His life turned around. He finally found love and purpose. He lived for his family. I hope you have found peace. We will continue to stay here awhile longer and miss you until we see you again.
Chris was currently working for Rocky Mountain Logistics where he enjoyed hauling the big loads. Prior to that Chris worked for Smith Oil field service for 10 years.
Chris is survived by Amber Parker, Seth Parker (stepson), Alexis Hamlin (daughter), Geneva Kobielusz (mother) and Peggy Hayes (sister).
Chris is proceeded in death by his dad Mike, Jim Kobielusz (stepfather), Mikey and Jeff Hamlin (two half-brothers) and grandparents.
Service will be held at the Episcopal Church on Wednesday, July 10th at 2:00 p.m. A memorial fund has been established at Central Bank and Trust in Thermopolis WY. Proceeds will be used to cover cost of services and provide for his family.
Remember goodbyes are not forever, goodbyes are not the end. They simply mean I’ll miss you until we meet again.
