I met Don the day I arrived in Thermopolis my sophomore year (his junior year) at football practice. I knew nobody, Don took my under his wing and made the transition to a new school much easier. I was only in Thermopolis that one year but Don was the best friend I had there.
I moved back to Wisconsin but kept in touch with Don. He graciously provided me with tickets whenever Michigan came to Madison to play the Badgers and again when he was with the Packers.. We had so much fun in Green Bay with Don.. I always looked up to and admired his determination in the face of adversity.
I also have 2 daughters so my heart aches even more for the family.. God bless you all... Randy

Your family has my deepest sympathy.  I'm so sorry for your loss.  Don was loved and he will be dearly missed.  Take courage.  James 4:8 says, "Draw close to God and He will draw close to you."  Also, He is called 'the God of all comfort' at 2 Corinthians 1:3-7.  Let Him comfort you in this most difficult time.

Don has been one of my favorite people from the first moment I met him our freshman year in high school. He always had a smile and something nice to say. He had such an easy manner about him, everyone enjoyed his company.

My heart goes out to his family. He will be missed by everyone. Rest in peace Don.

I knew Don in the late 80's when I was a TV anchor/reporter in Green Bay. He was a great friend to me. And a loved and respected Packer. This news is very sad for me but I believe in the good man he was and that all of us are now celebrating his great accomplishments in life. Farewell friend. God bless you and your family and friends. Thoughts and prayers. Judy Markee
