Donald Paul “Don” Weeks, 77, died suddenly September 27, 2019 as the result of an accident in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.
Born August 17, 1942 in Rock Springs, Wyoming, he was one of five children of Donald Joy and Margaret (Romango) Weeks. He attended schools in southern Wyoming and graduated from Rawlins High School.
For much of his life he worked in the oil fields becoming a production foreman.
On June 25, 1966 he married Karen Leger in Casper, Wyoming. The couple lived in Bairoil, WY until 1997 when they moved to Basin, WY.
Don loved music, both country western and gospel and enjoyed singing in the
“Heaven Bound Choir” in Basin and traveling to Quartet Conventions.
Those cherishing Don’s memory include his wife, Karen; sons, Kent (Deanna) of Tucson, AZ and Joseph Weeks of Nickerson, KS; daughter, Deanna (Rod) LaVallie of Cleveland, TN; sisters, Barbara (Kenneth) Osborne of Rawlins, Donna (Jack) Wilk and Betty Flyr, both of Littleton, CO; nine grandchildren and nine great, grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, James.
Funeral services will be Friday, October 6, 2019, 2:00 PM at Mortimore Funeral Home with Rev. Ross Kershaw, Community Federated Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Monument Hill Cemetery.
