Doris Laverne Arthur, 91, passed away at her Thermopolis residence, Sunday, February 25, 2018.
Born April 26, 1926 in Loveland, Colorado, she was one of six children of George and Margaret (Weitzel) Klein.
On June 14, 1947 she married James Henry Arthur in Denver, Colorado. The couple and their family moved to Wyoming in 1958, living in the Owl Creek area for several years. They then maintained homes in Thermopolis and Basin. A postal clerk for the U.S. Post Office in Thermopolis, Doris was employed 20 years.
She enjoyed quilting, knitting, crocheting, gardening, music and playing the accordion. Present at craft fairs, Doris sold many of her creations.
Survivors include sons, Ben of Laramie and Steve of Centennial; daughters, Sharon Lea and Annette Juvan, both of Thermopolis, WY; sister, Arlene Konkel of Denver, Co; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Roland Klein and sisters, Ruth Dickensen, Florence Arthur and Donna Vaage.
