Larry C Larson

Larry C. Larson, 80, passed away Saturday, December 2, 2017, at his residence in Thermopolis after a lengthy illness.

Born October 6, 1937 in Newcastle, Wyoming, he was the son of Lawrence and Goldie (Harrod) Larson.  After high school he joined the US Navy in January, 1957, serving until 1959.

On November 4, 1960 he married Jo Ann McNett in Chadron, NE.  The couple raised two sons.

Larry’s occupation as an electrical lineman included living in Nebraska, Montana, and Wyoming.  Moving to Thermopolis in 1978, he continued working for Western Area Power.

Following retirement he was employed as a cement truck driver for Canyon Concrete.

He was a member of the Elks Lodge and Old Timers Rodeo Association.  Loving the outdoors, Larry enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, horseback riding – a true hearted cowboy.  He loved his family and was a fan of the Denver Broncos.

In addition to his wife, Jo Ann, of 57 years, survivors include his sons, Tony (Lisa) and Casey Larson, both of Thermopolis; brothers, Gaylord (“Sally”) Larson, Rawlins, WY and Lynn (Kathy) Larson, Cheyenne, WY;  grandchildren, Kiamichia Larson, Cassie Owsley, Kialia Jones, William Larson, Kyle Larson and Zack Larson; and 14 great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

Celebration services are being planned for next spring.
