To family and friends,

I am very sorry to hear of the loss of your loved one.
No matter how long we live we would normally like to live longer. Why is that?
We were created to live forever.  God told Adam not to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and bad or he would surely die. (Genesis 2:17) This was a small test to see if he loved  God. 1 John 5:3 says:  "For this is what the love of God means, that we observe his commandments; and yet his commandments are not burdensome. " So why do we die today?  Because we inherited imperfection from Adam and Eve. Romans 5:12 says: " That is why, just as through one man sin entered the world and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because they had all sinned."  Jesus gave his life as a ransom to pay back what Adam lost (a perfect human life.)
Romans 5:19 goes on to say: " For just as through the disobedience of one man many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of one person many will be made righteous."  Jesus will bring our dead loved ones back to life.  Acts 24:15 says:  "And I have hope toward God, which hope these men also look forward to, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous."

Please know that we are keeping the family in our prayers and thoughts.  Several years ago we visited Thermopolis and went by to see Lester at his home.  He proudly showed us his woodworking projects (which were so beautiful, he was a true artist) and was so friendly and welcoming.  We know that his family will miss his strength and wisdom.
