Raymond Allen “Butch” White, 83, passed away Sunday, September 2, 2018 at the Thermopolis Rehabilitation and Care Center after a period of declining health.
Born May 15, 1935 in Thermopolis, he was one of 10 children of Jacque and Mary Agnes (Peoples) White. Following high school he worked in the oil fields until joining the U.S. Army serving from 1959-1963.
On September 29, 1967 he married Shirley A. Towles in Thermopolis.
Butch was employed as a plumber and later established Butch’s Plumbing.
He was a member of the Elks until it’s closure. He enjoyed gardening which included a greenhouse which he nurtured all year.
Loved ones cherishing his memory include his wife, Shirley, Thermopolis; children, Bart (Janet) Ready, Bozeman, MT and Spring Longwell, Thermopolis; two grandchildren, three great grandchildren and three great, great grandchildren; brother, H.R. “Mick” White, sisters, Bonnie Bleak and Mary Lou McGee, all of Thermopolis, and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents and six siblings, Ana Watson, Alla Holthues, James, Dorothy Hans, Crystal Skelton and Betty Yeaman.
As to Butch’s wishes, no services will be held.
