Brett Reo Boren, 65, died Friday, August 25, 2023 at Hot Springs Health hospital in Thermopolis, Wyoming following a courageous battle with cancer.
One of seven children, he was born December 18, 1957 in Salt Lake City, UT, the son of Reo and Sharon (Vincent) Boren. Raised in Wyoming he graduated high school from Wind River.
Known as Papa Cowboy by his grandchildren, he ranched for many years and also was a mechanic of gas compressors working for Exterian Company.
Brett enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with family. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge.
On October 17, 2009 he married Brenda Broderick in Thermopolis. Being a blended family they have 24 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Survivors include his mother, Sharon Wilson; wife, Brenda; brothers, Raymond, David and Micah, all of Wyoming; sister, Kimberly Horn; children, Shane, Sean and Brandon, all of Thermopolis and Brenda Hanson of Worland. He was preceded in death by his dad, Reo; stepdad, Allen Wilson and brothers, Vance and Clint.
