Dawn Davis passed away on January 3, 2026 at her home in Thermopolis, Wyoming.
Dawn Simmons Davis was born on June 20, 1955, to Ken and Meri (Rabbitt) Simmons. She joined her siblings, Jim (Velma) Simmons and Kate (Darwin) Stolz. Dawn spent her early years in Battle Creek, Michigan, where she was surrounded by her grandparents, aunts, uncles, and many cousins. Those years were filled with love and togetherness, creating memories she cherished throughout her life.
In 1969, Dawn’s family moved to Thermopolis, Wyoming, where she began ninth grade and quickly formed friendships that lasted a lifetime. She later attended nursing school at Central Wyoming College and dedicated more than 35 years to a career as a registered nurse. Dawn truly loved nursing and found great purpose in caring for others and helping people during their most vulnerable moments.
Dawn was preceded in death by her parents and her granddaughter, Emma Dorman.
She is survived by her three daughters: Meri Ann (Johnny) Dorman, Nikki (Chris) Williams, and Kristen Davis. Dawn also leaves behind eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, three nephews, and one niece.
Above all, Dawn was a devoted mother who encouraged her girls to be strong, independent, and—most importantly—happy. Her love, compassion, and quiet strength will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
Services will be held at a later date.
