Donald Jack “Don” Gourley, 71, died Monday, July 19, 2021 at the Thermopolis Rehabilitation and Wellness in Thermopolis after a long struggle with cancer.
Born December 22, 1950 in Thermopolis, Wyoming, he was the son of Jack and Charlotte (Einer) Gourley. He graduated from Thermopolis High School.
For most of his life he worked in the oilfield industry operating submersible pumps. He was employed by Reda Pump, Clays Pump Service in Powell, WY and a service in China.
A member of BPOE and the Masonic Lodge, he enjoyed fishing, hunting and golf.
Survivors include his siblings, Nels Gourley of Thermopolis and Marynell (Jim) Malcom of Salmon, Idaho and three nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation has taken place and services will be held at the First Baptist Church in Thermopolis on August 7, 2021 at 2:00 p.m.
