Donna Marie Hunter, 64, passed away Tuesday, November 8, at her residence in Thermopolis. She was born December 4, 1951 in Hutchison, Kansas, the daughter of
James and Ruth (Ott) VanRiper.
Most of her life was spent in Arvada and Lakewood, Colorado. She worked as an office manager, the last being Curves. She enjoyed horseback riding, cooking and camping. Also creative, she made doll houses and miniature glass figurines. A strong woman, she fought for everything she loved.
On September 20, 1997, she married Arthur Hunter in Lakewood, CO, and upon his retirement the couple moved to Thermopolis where they enjoyed the great outdoors.
She was preceded in death by her husband (2016) of 19 years, her brother and parents. Family members remaining include his and her children, Nevetta Hunter, Genessee, ID, Trudy (Jerry) VanRiper, Brighton, CO, Sam (Courtney) Hunter, Lakewood, CO and Jacob Ryan, Arvada, CO; grandchildren, George and DeSelvia McDaniel and Brittany, Cassidy and Abigail Van Riper; and her siblings, Jim VanRiper and Beverly Dillay.
Memorial services will be held at a later date at her home in Thermopolis.
The family has requested memorials be given to Wedding of the Waters Pheasants Forever.
