Doris Irene Scott, 86, passed away Saturday, December 24, at Hot Springs County Memorial Hospital.
Born September 22, 1930 in Rawlins, Wyoming, she was the daughter of Ernest and Irene (Betz) Marvin. After graduating from Rawlins High School she attended the University of Wyoming, becoming a teacher. She taught in a one-room school house.
She and her young family moved to Riverton where Doris was a supervisor for the Brunton Company. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church. Her interests were knitting, flower gardening and her family. In 2013 Doris moved to Thermopolis to be near her children.
Survivors include her son, Ernie Scott, Jr; daughters, Cindy (Barry) Nye, Gem (Earl) Jackson, and Falina (Joe) Hill, all of Thermopolis; sister, Betty (Warren) Fuller of Lander; eight grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents and a sister, Alberta.
