Elizabeth “Betty” Frances Brizendine, 102, passed away November 9, 2023 in Thermopolis, WY. She was born March 29, 1921 to Ivan and Elizabeth (Keefer) Allen in Santa Rosa, CA.

Betty graduated high school in 1939 in Biggs, CA.

She married Edgar E. Brizendine on June 28, 1941. They had three children, Donna, Raymond, and Lynn.

Betty resided in California until moving to Wyoming in 2012 to be near her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. Her family was her whole world.

She is survived by her daughter, Donna (Frank) Cole of Thermopolis; Granddaughters Nan (Jay) Steadman and Gwen (Reg) Treese of Buffalo, WY, Melissa Rose of Nevada, Grandsons Robert Brizendine of Nevada, Thomas (Aimie) Brizendine of the Netherlands, and Jeffrey Thompson of California. Eight great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers Robert and Elwood, grandson Timothy Thompson, daughter Lynn Thompson, and son Raymond.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial will be held at a later date.

Mortimore Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
