Emmett Merle “Bud” Faith passed away Friday, May 29, 2020 at Hot Springs County Memorial Hospital in Thermopolis, Wyoming.
Born April 19, 1943 in Broadus, Montana, Bud was one of ten children to Lyle and Sarah (Byinton) Faith. As a child, the family moved to Thermopolis where Emmett attended school and later met his wife, Carol Addelaine Moore who he married on September 26, 1973.
Throughout his life, Bud worked in road construction and the drilling rigs before retiring from Devon Energy. Bud enjoyed fishing, caring for his yard and rose bushes, the Denver Broncos, gambling, and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was known by all as being a prankster.
Bud is survived by his wife, Carol, of 46 years; sisters, Pat Bears and Sarah Lou Stanley, both of Thermopolis, Mayona Faler of Lander; children Tami (Craig) Montgomery of Thermopolis, David (Cynthia) Barker of Worland, Emmett “Craig” Faith of Thermopolis, Marlene (Paul) Gunnett of Riverton and Kellie (Shawn) Gant of Billings, MT; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Bud was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and two sisters.
Memorial services are planned for a later date.
