James David Goodman

James David Goodman, 22, died tragically Friday, December 18, 2020 at his home in Thermopolis.

Born October 20, 1998 in Socorro, New Mexico, he was the son of Shawn and Melissa (McGinnis) Goodman.  The family moved to Thermopolis in 2002 where James attended school. He was a sweet, kind hearted young man who loved his family with all his heart.  He met his high school sweetheart and soulmate, Destanee Peters, in Thermopolis and have been together seven years.  In 2018 they had a beautiful baby boy, Jaxson James Goodman.

James was presently employed at Mavericks working in the Deli section.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping or anything outdoors.  He loved to make people smile and his world revolved around his soulmate, son and family.  James’ smile could light up the darkest room and was easily loved by whomever crossed his path.

James is survived by his soulmate Destanee Peters, son Jaxson James Goodman, Parents Shawn Sr and Melissa Goodman, Brother Shawn Jr, Sister Tiphanie Goodman, His 6 nieces and nephews, numerous cousins, Aunts and Uncles, Grandma Kathy Higgs, Grandpa Neal Goodman, and the Nading and Banda family.

James is preceded in death by his great grandparents and grandma, Karen Mcginnis

Memorial services will be held at a later date.

He never looked for praises,

He was never one to boast,

He just went on quietly working

for those he loved the most.

His dreams were seldom spoken,

His wants were very few

And most the time his worries

Went unspoken too.

He was there.... A firm foundation

Through all our storms of life,

A sturdy hand to hold on to

In times of stress and strife.

A true friend we could turn to

When times were good or bad,

One of our greatest blessings

The man we called, son, dad, uncle,

Brother, Cousin, nephew, Grandson and friend
