Jana "Jane" Ann (Schmick) Brungardt

Jana (Jane) Ann (Schmick) Brungardt was born July 15, 1957 to Estella and Victor Schmick in Scottsbluff, NE. Jane was the youngest of three girls. Jane started grade school in Thermopolis, Wyoming, but moved with her family to Bayard Nebraska where she completed her education.

Jane married Edwin on March 1, 1975. The catalyst for their romance was after he had promised to take a bath just for her. Ed always brought out Jane's sense of humor and was always able to make her laugh. They welcomed their first child Kimberly on January 13, 1976. And 3 short years later they welcomed Kristen on May 18, 1979. Jane and Ed were married for 50 years. Jane was preceded in death by her mother Estella, her father Victor, and her sister Susie. Jane had always wanted to be a grandmother and loved all babies but especially her 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

After Jane retired she spent her time collecting recipes and crafting, crocheting and knitting.

Jane is survived by her husband Edwin Brungardt, her daughters Kimberly Sams and Kristen (Brady) Kessler, Grandchildren Macinna (Jonathan) Moon, Kolebe (Lindsey) Kessler, Hunter (Caleb) Barclay, Caleb (Natalya) Kessler, and Tailor Bearley, and her 8 great grandchildren, her sister Linda Cornish, and many nieces and nephews.

Jane will have a private celebration of life at a later date.
