Linda Lee Cornish

Linda Lee Cornish, 75, passed away November 4, 2025 at Hot Springs Health in Thermopolis Wyoming.

Linda was born on September 5, 1950 in Anchorage, Alaska. Her family including her two sisters relocated to Thermopolis where she attended High School before moving to Shoshoni, Wy and starting a family. Linda had 4 children from previous marriages before meeting and marrying her late husband Lavern (Corky) Cornish on August 8, 1986, who also had 4 children. So began their blended family.  Linda and Corky were married for 38 years before Corky passed on June 9, 2022. They spent most of their married live in Shoshoni where they enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Linda was active in the community with both work and getting together with her friends at the Yellowstone drug store for coffee. She later moved back to Thermopolis and went to work at Northwest Wyoming Boces alongside her daughter Sophie until retirement.

Linda enjoyed many hobbies, which included reading, camping (glamping in Corky and her case), and gardening, but her real passion was crafts. She loved to sew, knit, quilt, and paint to name a few but her family joked if there is a craft that exists, she has tried it. She was also never pet free. She loved her little dogs.

She is survived by her daughters Sophie (Gary) Starkey, Sonja (Daryl) Fullerton, Teri (Scott) Pickinpaugh, Kimber (Kelly) Gardner and her sons, Shane Huffstetler, Justin (Ambry) Henderson.  Also survived by 14 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her little Sammie dog.

She was preceded in death by her husband Lavern (Corky) Cornish, both parents, two step sons, and both her sisters Susie and Janie.
