Mary Ann (Everist) Dodds

Mary Ann Dodds passed away peacefully on May 16, 2026 at Thermopolis Rehab and Wellness  in Thermopolis, Wyoming. She was born on March 24, 1935 in Marshalltown, Iowa. She returned to Marshalltown following her graduation from Texarakana High School. There she met and married Fred Joseph Dodds. They had one daughter. After her divorce, Mary remained close with Fred. She was a gifted piano player although she could not read music. Mary enjoyed simple pleasures, especially refurbishing cast-away items and finding thrift store treasures. She spent time in Texas with family before relocating to east Tennessee. Mary was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. 

Mary was predeceased by her parents, Gerald and Mildred Everist; brothers Wendell and John Everist, sisters Elma Rea and Mildred Everist. She leaves behind a daughter, Theresa Dodds Gergen and son-in-law, William Paul Gergen, a brother, Gerald Everist, and her loving church family. No services will be held per her wishes. Memorial gifts may be directed to a faith organization of choice.
