Peggy Faler Obituary

Peggy Faler passed away unexpectedly at her home, March 5th, 2023.

Peggy was born on a homestead near Buffalo Wyoming, February 23rd, 1937. She was the 6th child to Edward (Ned) and Leora Hubbard, out of 8 children. The Family moved to Gillette Wyoming where Peggy graduated from High School. She loved High School Band and played the Trombone.

Peggy met the love of her life, William (Bill) N. Faler, on a blind date. She fell in love with him right away, but he fell harder and kept in frequent contact with her for further dates. They were married May 5th, 1957, and had three sons, Bill, Jon, and Ned.

To help support the family, she to pursued a field in cosmetology and attended the Beauty School in Casper Wyoming in 1972. She graduated at the top of her class and started her career immediately after graduation.

In 1977, the family moved to Thermopolis Wyoming, following Bill’s job transfer. She began working at Belle’s Beauty Salon, where she worked until it closed.

As Peggy frequently said, “I could not be prouder of my family.” Her and Bill showed this by being their kids and grandkids number 1 fans. They attended every celebration and achievement they could. She was the true definition of support and unconditional love. She enjoyed so much in life, such as singing, quilting, knitting, needlework, painting, reading and the outdoors. However, she has stated that camping under the stars is for the animals and not really her cup of tea.

To sum up Peggy Faler: She was a God respecting person, loving wife, loving mother, loving GiGi (great-grandma), and flat enjoyed life. Her positive support and direction will be sorely missed; but her influence on her family and friends will never fade. Peggy is survived by her three sons: William (& Velma), Jonathan, and Nelson; one sisters, Pauline Raver; one brother, John (Irene) Hubbard; 3 granddaughters; 3 great-grandsons; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, E. E. (Ned) Hubbard and Leora M. Hubbard; husband, William N. Faler; brothers, Robert H. and Charles B. Hubbard; and sisters, Marjorie McKenzie, Mona Hunt and Bette Cole.

She did not want a funeral service, instead a celebration of life will be held at a later date. We thank God that I knew this great woman!
