Obituary
Sheridan resident, Richard John Beaver, 59, died Friday, December 30, 2022 at Thermopolis Rehabilitation and Care Center in Thermopolis after a period of declining health.
One of three children, Richard was born February 17, 1963 in Worland, Wyoming, the son of Richard John and Jeanne (Homan) Beaver.
For much of his life he worked in the oilfields and at Black Hills Bentonite. He married Janet L. Riding. To this union was born a son and daughter. Janet died in 2019.
Richard enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching John Wayne movies and shows.
Survivors include his mother, Jeanne Beaver Starkey of Rock Springs, WY; children, John and Jade Beaver; siblings, Virgil (Cynthia) Beaver of Gillette and Connie (Ron) Hoffman of Riverton; nephew, Ricky and nieces, Candy (Ben), Naomi (Weston), Megan and Sammi. Preceding him in death was his father, Richard; his wife, Janet, and stepfather, Glenn Starkey.
Cremation has taken place. Mortimore Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements. Online messages may be offered at mortfh.com.
