Robert Lloyd “Opa” Grisham, 91, went to his eternal home with Jesus on Sunday, August 7, 2022 at Hot Springs Health in Thermopolis.
Born October 31, 1930 in Pico, California, he was one of eight children born to James and Pearl (Young) Grisham. Serving 22 years in the U.S. Army he was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam War.
While stationed in Germany he met his future wife, Maria Eisele, whom he married on November 3, 1956 in Gauingen, Germany.
After retiring in 1972, he enjoyed a happy, full life with family and friends; traveling, camping and fishing. After living in Cody, WY for 30 years the couple moved to Thermopolis, Wyoming in 2010. Robert was a very patriotic man who loved God and his country.
He is survived by his wife, Maria of 65 years; daughter, Erika Lenferink; grandchildren Brenda (Pat) Cornwell and Adam (Jackie) Frankson, all of Thermopolis; two sisters; six great grandchildren, three great, great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and three brothers.
A private intimate family memorial is planned.
