Robert William Stewart, 66, passed away at his residence in Thermopolis, Wyoming on December 9, 2019 after a short illness.
Born December 2, 1953 in Thermopolis, he was one of four children of Robert and Dorothy (Thayer) Stewart. Following graduation, he attended WyoTech in Laramie, pursuing welding. Raised on a ranch in Grass Creek and later Owl Creek he returned to assist his parents with ranching.
On April 21, 1990 he married Cheryl Borner in Cody, Wyoming.
Robert was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He enjoyed ranching, raising cows and sheep. He especially enjoyed playing with his kids and grandkids.
Survivors include his wife, Cheryl of 29 years; children, Stephanie (Blake) Anderson of Thermopolis, Celina (Mike) Stewart-Johnson of Twin Falls, ID, Bralter Stewart of Twin Falls and Virginia Stewart of Thermopolis; eight grandchildren; sisters, Charlotte Thomas of Thermopolis and Claudia Chamberlain of Clarksville, TN. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Tommy Poe.
Friday, December 13, Robert was buried at Monument Hill Cemetery in Thermopolis.
