Rubie Cassie Koskyn, 85, passed away Thursday, July 18, 2019 at the Thermopolis Rehabilitation and Wellness Center where she had been a resident since May.
Born June 1, 1934 in Madill, Oklahoma, she was one of ten children of Hardy and Mary (Burns) McWilliams. Raised in Texas, most of her life was spent in California and Washington before moving to Thermopolis in 2013 to live with her son’s family.
For many years Rubie was a caregiver for those in need. Her interests included embroidery, reading and watching TV. She was a member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church.
Those cherishing her memory include sons, David McCawley of Seattle, WA and Danny McCawley of Thermopolis; daughter, Kathy Russell of Moses Lake, WA; brother, Hardy McWilliams, TX; sisters Chris Winton, CA, Mamibelle Rideout, AL; eight grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Howard and sisters, Hardine, Bobby, Frankie, Bille and Dodee.
Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held Saturday, August 10, 11:00 am at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church with the Reverend Ron Phillips officiating.
