Stella J. (Soaniecki) Novakovich

Stella J. Novakovich, 95, passed away December 7, 2019 at the Wyoming Retirement Center in Basin where she had resided the past two months.

Born August 18, 1924 in Koi, Wyoming, she was one of eight children of Mike and Antonio (Soaniecki) Legocki.  She married Ted Novakovich April 5, 1941 in Worland. After Ted established Ted’s Conoco, Stella assisted in the business as secretary as well as raising their four sons.

She was a member of the BPO Does and the Elks Club.  Stella enjoyed golfing, fishing, bowling and was the referee’s and umpire’s favorite fan.

Those cherishing her memory include her sons, Ted, Jr (Jackie) of Thermopolis, Steve (Elaine) of Cody and Randy (Deb) of Bridger, MT; 22 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren and 25 great, great grandchildren* (this number may increase before the service).   She was preceded in death by two brothers, five sisters, her husband, Ted, son, John, one grandson and one granddaughter.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 17, 2019, 2:00 pm at Mortimore Funeral Home with Reverend Ross Kershaw officiating.  Burial will follow at Monument Hill Cemetery
