Jeanie Love
Jeanie Love passed away May 3, 2023 in Thermopolis at the age of 88.
Valerie Jean was born on November 10, 1934 in Thermopolis, Wyoming to Mildred (Nincehelser) and Alvie Doak. Harry Estes adopted Jeanie and her sister Dorita in 1940 after marrying Mildred.
Jeanie married Duard Lee Love December 21, 1952 at the Worland Episcopal Church. They raised two sons, Danny and Larry, in Hot Springs County. She worked at the Coca Cola plant for several years, then First National Bank for more than 20 years, moving up from bookkeeper to Vice President. Jeanie stayed active in the community by serving on the Hot Springs County Cemetery Board, was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the HSC Pioneer Association.
Aside from work Jeanie enjoyed spending time outdoors with her family. Her favorite activities included fishing, rockhounding, hunting and camping. She also cross stitched and quilted. When Duard and Jeanie purchased property on Owl Creek with their son Larry she helped with the farming and raising cattle.
She is survived by her son Larry; daughter-in-law Barbara (Danny) Love; grandchildren Donny (Heather) Love and Jennie (Brandon) Blakesley; greatgrandchildren Ethan (Shadow) Love, Monte Love, Colton and Morgan Blakesley; great, great-grandchild Cash Love; special niece Sammie Jean (John) Richter; and nephew Chuck Bratsky.
She was preceded in death by her parents Harry and Mildred Estes, brother Doug Estes, sister Dorita Bratsky, son Danny Love and niece Chery Peck.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
