August 2, 1946 – April 20, 2026
Wayne Howard Christiansen, 79, of Thermopolis, Wyoming, passed away on April 20, 2026, in Thermopolis, Hot Springs County, Wyoming.
Wayne was born on August 2, 1946, in Thermopolis, Wyoming, to Harold Pierce Christiansen and Virginia Kay (Koger) Christiansen — the town he would call home his entire life.
After graduating from Thermopolis High School, Wayne attended Chadron College. He went on to serve his country in the United States Army, where he was stationed in Vietnam. Following the honorable completion of his military service, Wayne returned to Thermopolis and built his career with R&S Well Service, where he worked until his retirement. A proud veteran, he was a member of the VFW. In his leisure time, Wayne could often be found fishing, golfing, boating, or hunting.
On October 3, 1964, Wayne married the love of his life, Phyllis J. (Flis) Christiansen, in Thermopolis, Wyoming. Together they built a family and a life rooted in the community they cherished.
Wayne is survived by his devoted wife, Phyllis Christiansen of Thermopolis, WY; his son, Cole (Joni) Christiansen of Thermopolis, WY; his daughter, Bree Christiansen of Thermopolis, WY; 5 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Pierce Christiansen; his mother, Virginia Kay Christiansen; his brother, Chris Christiansen; and an infant child, Harold Pierce Christiansen II.
Private services will be held at a later date.
